Camp Tucker is on 10 acres and located in the “Biggest Little Town in New York State” called Stony Creek, NY. Our town has nearly 30,000 acres of NYS Forest Preserve land with numerous access to trails, streams, mountains, and lakes. We are also located just 30 miles from the cities of Glens Falls and Saratoga Springs and 20 miles from Lake George. Access to the 4-wheeler/ATV trail is within a few feet from Camp. We are one of the few towns in NYS that still permit 4-wheelers and ATV’s on our town roads. The trails are maintained by the locals who enjoy the sport.

Like to fish? Stony Creek is stocked by DEC each year, and within walking distance from Camp Tucker. The Adirondacks is loaded with rivers, lakes and streams. The Hudson River, Harrisburg Lake and The Sacandaga are within a few minute country drive. Perfect for those who love fresh water fish cooked on the fire!

For Nightlife: Stony Creek Inn is only 3 miles from Camp. They are a famous spot in the area for locals and tourists alike with bands every weekend, and great meals. A few more miles away is the Red Dog Saloon Put on your cowboy hat, ride the mechanical bull and enjoy a drink at their beautiful bar which also features live music and bar fare. The dude ranch, 1000 Acres also has day passes to their resort, and horseback riding! Even an episode of Jersey Shore called Ranchelor Party was filmed there!

Camp Tucker is designed for guests who like to camp but don’t want to rough it too much. All your comforts of home are at Camp Tucker with our Rustic flair. The owner wanted guests to feel at a place that reminded them of a family camp. Many guests will leave a little something behind making the place unique and adds to the homey feel. Every guest so far has returned for another stay.

Camp Tucker is unseen from the road, and on a total of 10 acres shared with just the host. Want to rough it a little more? Pitch a tent and still have the amenities of a clean bathhouse with hot showers.

Important Tips for the most comfortable Stay here in the Adirondacks!

·         Camp Tucker and the town of Stony Creek does NOT have Cell Service.  Areas around Lake George can also be spotty.  The residents of Stony Creek rely on Wi-Fi calling and Landlines.  Camp Tucker has fiber optic Wi-Fi which should support all of your tech needs. Want to explore nature? We have long range walkie talkies.

·         Bring at least one warm outfit and a pair of sneakers or similar footwear. (The weather can be unpredictable) Camp Tucker has plenty of extra blankets, and an indoor gas fireplace/stove to keep you comfortable. Our showers are nice and hot as well!

·         Our Camp has screens to protect from insects, however the lighter color of clothing, the less you will attract them (insects are typically drawn to black and darker clothing), also skip the heavy perfumes.  We do provide insect repellent to use.  They also don't like campfires. 

·         Our little town is so well preserved by the Adirondack Park Agency  and Environmental Protection Agency that we do not have gasoline in our town. Please make sure you gas up! The nearest Electric Charging Station is in Lake George.

Terms and Conditions:

·         Unfortunately all deposits are non-refundable 14 days prior to your stay.  If you have to cancel, let us know ASAP

·         We take Cash, Check, or PayPal via our website ALL taxes and fees are included in the per night rate.  Firewood is delivered by a neighbor at their fee.

·         Our small pool does NOT have a lifeguard on duty, all rules compliant with NYS laws will be posted in the pool area.

·         The Bathhouse is cleaned and stocked with towels daily.  To ensure guests privacy, the main camp does not have maid service.

·         Check In and Check Out times have some flexibility depending on the arrival of other guests without a charge. Please call first to see if a change is available.
